This week, I experienced something new and remarkable: I was discussed on a podcast episode. My dear friend, Diana Wu David (a global thought leader on the future of Work) was sharing a comment I made during a Future Proof group project a few years ago in an interview with Regina Larko, who is known for her inspiring podcast leadership.
Listening to that conversation struck a chord with me. Often, we say or do things that may seem ordinary at the moment, but they can resonate deeply with others. Hearing Diana speak about our collaboration brought back memories and affirmations I hadn’t fully appreciated before.
It was uplifting to hear my thoughts and contributions reflected back to me, especially during a challenging day.
I found myself pondering: When was the last time you felt affirmed by something you wrote or shared, when it echoed back to you? This experience was new for me, and it was fantastic. It generated a new appreciation for the power of connection and communication, deepening my admiration for both Diana and Regina.
Reflecting on our exchanges reminds me of our impact on each other’s lives, consistently in ways we don’t fully realize. So, I’m interested—when was the first time you heard yourself in the media, and how did it feel?
These moments of affirmation can be surprisingly powerful, serving as a reminder of our contributions and the positive influence we have on others. I’d love to hear your stories! Let’s celebrate the connections we build and the joy of being recognized for our thoughts and ideas.
